Human Universal 3: Cooking
Drawing on Brown’s universal around “cooking” and food preparation, our “Cooking” category encompasses vessels, utensils, and engines of heat that transform raw ingredients into meals. From clay stoves to modern gas burners, cooking implements are foundational across every society. “Cooking” was one of our first-edition affordances in CAA to showcase this essential, cross-cultural function.
