Human Universal 4: Healing
Brown’s “health care” universal speaks to the practices and tools humans devise to treat illness and injury. In CAA, we label this affordance “Healing” to cover objects from herbal poultices and antiseptics to inhalers and medical devices. We selected “Healing” for our first edition to document how diverse cultures care for well-being through material artifacts. The following are corresponding affordances mapped from Dollar Street.
